Are You A Life Saver?
Dear brothers and sisters in rovering,
Many blood donation campaigns have been organized over 
the years and occasionally we would receive forwarded sms and calls from our scouts and friends requesting helps in urgent blood donation as someone which are closely related to them are in urgent needs of blood. In conjunction with that, i would like to propose and call upon all rovers / leaders to response to this project by registering yourself to be one of the volunteer blood donors in case of emergency.
General guidelines for blood donors;
1, You must be at least 18 years old (as per Malaysian laws).
2, Your body weight must be more than 45kg.
3, You do not donate blood within the last 90 days.
4, You do not have acupuncture treatment, tattoo or any blood transfusion.
5, You must be healthy without the infections of Venereal diseases, HIV, Hepatitis, Asthma etc.
6, You do not take antibiotics or being sick (flu, fever etc.) within the last 7 days.
7, You have enough rest the night before (8 hours sleep).
8, You do not have heart disease and blood pressure (high / low) problem.
9, You feel well on the day of donation.

Generally it’s not easy to be a blood donor and therefore do feel proud if you are already one of many blood donors. You are not only brave enough to see your arm being poked with needle but also kind enough to save others with your courageous act. Feel proud to be an eligible volunteer life saver. For those who have not done so, it’s high time for you to be a volunteer blood 
donors by joining us.
Here is how it works. By responding to this call, it would mean that you are willing to donate your blood voluntarily and are willing to be contacted if there is any urgent need of blood. All we need is your info and contacts. If there is an urgent needs of blood, we shall contact you via email / sms / friendster’s messages if you are the right person. You, yourself would then make an arrangement to pay a visit to the General Hospital as soon as possible for the blood donation by quoting the names and contacts of the person in need of blood. A 
message shall also be posted in the bulletin board in the Rover Council’s friendster account.
All requests for blood received will be registered and published in this blog. A message or email from you with a scanned copy of the donation slip is required for our verifications and those rovers’ / leaders’ name who responded to the needs will be published
here as a recognition for your heroic deeds.

1, Your name
2, Area (e.g. Kuching, Sibu etc.)
3, Blood Group (e.g. A+, B+ etc.)
4, Scout Group / Rover Crew (Omit this if you are not attached)
5, Contact number preferably H/P (will not be displayed in the blog)
6, Email (will not be displayed in the blog)
