3rd Asia Pacific Poster Competition - 2007
All scouts from respective National Scout Organization are invited to participate in the 3rd APR Poster Competition during the 22nd APR Scout Conference in Tokyo.
Objective of the competition
To provide opportunities for sharing creative ideas in the promotion of Scouting through existing posters.
Themes
1. Posters promoting Scouting programme.
2. Posters promoting membership growth.
3. Posters promoting a fund raising event.
Message
Each poster must project its message or with a caption relevant to the theme. Wordings could be in any language but a written translation in English shall be attached.
Participants
All NSOs can participate in any or all the 3 thematic areas. However, only one entry is allowed for each theme for a maximum of 3 entries per NSO. Designers of the posters may or may not be Scout members for as long as the posters are made for Scouting Use.
Specifications
Entries may be currently in use at any level - district, province, national - or may be a digital reproduction of old posters, provided these have not won any competition. Every entry must be a printout poster (computer or press printout), not "one-of-a-kind" poster like a painting. Poster size must not be smaller than 25cm x 35cm and not bigger than 50cm x 60cm.
Submission
NSOs should indicate their interest to join the competition using the attached reply slip. All entries are to be submitted by the NSO to the APR secretariat upon the delegation’s arrival at the conference. All entries will be displayed at the exhibit area. Extra copies may be brought as giveaways for interested parties at the conference.
Panel of Judges
Judges will be selected from among the conference participants, ideally from countries (including other regions) not represented in the competition.
Prizes and Awarding
Top 3 posters of each theme will be selected: 3 for 1st place, 3 for 2nd place and 3 for 3rd place. All 9 winners will receive plaques during the awarding ceremony on 23rd October of the Regional Conference. All participating countries will receive certificates of participation. Attached is the REPLY SLIP for participation to be sent back to APR office not later than 31st July 2007.
