Centenary Scout Exhibition 2007

The Centenary Scout Exhibition 2007 has been organized successfully by the Sarawak State under the chairmanship of ASC Mr. Joseph Chong from 26th ~ 27th May 2007. Various surrounding districts and units from the movement have rendered their supports in making it a success.

The Kuching CIty Rover Council had participated in the event by displaying exhibits on Rovers, badges from around the world as well as a saperate booth being set up for the fund raising badge sale to subsidise the X-treme Challenge 2007 - Kota Kinabalu at the end of the year. Rovers on duty have work hard for the event by giving active supports during the event days. Due to less publicity and bad weather on the second day, the responds from the general public and members of the movement is less encouraging. Part of the exhibition area was also flooded due to heavy rain on the second day morning. However, this has not hinder the scouting spirit among the Rovers and the fellow participants. With this, the Rover Council would like to express our deepest gratitude for the hard work carried out by the temporary Rover event committee as well as the Rovers who participated in the events. SYABAS for another job well done.
