Kuching District Scout Day Celebration 2007
The Scout Day was successfully organized on 5th August 2007 (Sunday) at Song Kheng Hai Padang (BP Centre) under the chairmanship of Sdr. Foo Juat Hian. An estimated of 350 scouts have turned up for the celebration together with all the Rovers, Leaders and Commissioners. The ceremony was officially declared open by the Chief State Commissioner, Y.B. Datuk Haji Wan Junaidi B. Tuanku Jaafar which was also accompanied by the members from the councils. Academic awards were also been distributed to all receipients for passing their UPSR, PMT, SPM, STPM, UEC with flying colours. Rambus were also awarded to Junior (PM), Senior (PR) as well as the Rover (PK) session of the movement for completing respective training scheme. A total of 18 Rover Rambu receipients have been awarded. Among the receipients, 12 Rovers from Elysium Rover Crew (39th Kuching Scout Group), 5 Rovers from Tigris Rover Crew (40th Kuching Scout Group) and 1 Rover from 43rd Kuching Scout Group have completed their Rover Scout Training Scheme. The Rover Council would like to congratulate all the Rover Rambu receipients on their awards.
