New Rover Training Scheme Hoax

Lately, rumours have been spreading that the new Malaysian Rover Scout Training Scheme has been adopted and implemented with the reference book being published and introduction of new series of proficiency badges and BP award. Please be informed that the training scheme has been discussed and reviewed by most of the state’s representatives during the National Rovering Workshop in May 2007.However, the scheme has NOT been finalized yet, even though recommendation report has been forwarded to the national HQ for review.

According to a reliable source in national HQ, the scheme is still under final stage of review (pembetulan ayat) and shall only be published for usage and adoption next year which also includes the possibility of formal introduction and usage of new Rover proficiency badges and BP award.

The book shown below titled "Panduan Skema Pengakap Kelana" is one of the documents used during the national rovering workshop. Please be reminded that information contained inside this book can only be used for REFERENCE only and the new Rover Scout Training Scheme indicated in the book, CANNOT be used for formal training, assessment and evaluation for the BP award later.
