Fun Filled Gilwell Reunion 2008
Fun A Gilwell Reunion 2008 has been organized by the State under the chairmanship of ASC Iu Cho Heng, the chairman of Zone A training team, on 29/03/2008 (Saturday) in Mango Tree restaurant. The event was attended by all the woodbadge holders in this region. Many have turned up in the support of the event whereby 14 scout leaders are awarded their woodbadges by SC Felix Than (State Commisioner - Adult training). They are the first batch in Malaysia who have completed the new woodbadge modular training scheme.
Numerous interesting activities have been organized by the organizer which includes the powerpoint presentation of the Gilwell park adn the history of woodbadge training, lucky draws as well as the competition for the best head gears and caps. SC Dustand Merlin has won the prize with his unique head gear in the said competition.
A simple but meaningful ceremony of lighting the candles by respective woodbadge holder has also been carried out which marks the re-ignition of scouting spirit.
