8 Rovers and Leaders from Kuching E Rover Crew (Eagle Rovers) have participated in the Boat Handling Course which is organized by the Red Crescent Society and the Civil Defense Department on 5th July 2009. Participants were taught on the hand signals, basic precautions, safety rules, introduction to outboard engines as well as been given the opportunity to handle boats themselves. All of them enjoyed and were having a great time.

Indonesian scouts and scouters from Sambas district, Indonesia have visited Kuching from 3rd July 2009 to 5th July 2009. The event was hosted by the state with the assistance from the Rovers and Scouters from Petra Jaya and Kuching District. State housing minister, Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg Dato Sri Abang Johari Tun Abang Openg was also present during the welcoming dinner.

Please be informed that the monthly Kuching City Scouter Council meeting for July 2009 which shall be conducted on 3rd July 2009 (last Friday) has been postponed and re-scheduled to this Friday (10th July 2009).

The East Java Provincial Scout Council (Kwartir Daerah Gerakan Pramuka Jawa Timur) will be organizing the East Java Rover Moot. The Rover moot is named “Raimuna Jawa Timur 2009” which shall be held from 19th July to 25th July 2009 in Tulungagung, Rast Java, Indonesia.
2000 rovers from all over East Java Province are expected to join the moot and they are inviting groups of up to 20 rovers aged 16 to 25 years old with leaders aged 25 and above.
Registration is opened until 25/06/2009.
Camp fee: US$200 (inclusive of registration fee and participation fee, food and activities which includes adventures and East Java Tour, land transportation from Juanda International Airport Surabaya to the camp site)
