International Phonetical Alphabet For Amateur Radio

International Phonetical Alphabet which is commonly used by Amateur Radio operators throughout the world. This is used to avoid confusions to the received end, when certain alphabets are transmitted over the air.

NOTES:

 

1.    All participants (group 1 to 10) are required to report and register themselves with the secretariat 1 hour before their session. For example, if you are from group 5 (17/10/2009 slot 3:00p.m. ~ 4:00p.m.), you are required to report and register to the secretariat at 2:00p.m. for the registrations, briefings and collection of JOTA kit.

2.    Attire: Full Scout Uniform

3.    JOTA kit consists of 1 bottle of mineral water and 1 event badge. Scouter in charge kindly collect them on behalf of your participating group from the secretariat.

4.    The JOTA challenge badge will only be given to those who have completed the assignments given during the briefings. Assignment paper shall be returned to the secretariat at the end of every session for verifications and qualification for the award.

5.     Rovers, Scouters and Commissioners are welcomed to join Group No. 7 which is a specific session open to all Rovers and adult leaders.

6.    Those who have not register with their participation with the JOTA organizing committee are also welcomed to attend and register on the spot. Fees: RM10 per person. However, JOTA kit and also assignment of station shall only be given based on First Come First Serve basis and subjected to availability.
